I think they know this and this is why they make so many shit tests.
The attraction is there, but they are trying to prolong the inevitable drop in value. They also know about the wall- they know they have a limited to exist an object of value in the sexual market place.

A woman's goal should be to get married and pregnant before she hits the wall. Having a man's children is supposed to ensure she's taken care of long term.
