He got up, but he didn't give a verbal response when the ref asked him "are you okay", your supposed to look the ref in the eye and say "yes, im okay". He said nothing. He may have been "dazed/woosy/rubber legged/out on his feet". but pros fighters are almost "used to" fighting in this condition. He could have continued.
It just looks bad for the ref because there was only 5 seconds left.
I would have let him go. It was world title fight.
I was rooting for Chavez, but as a man and as a boxer, i gotta say:
