Working in hospitals or med facilities makes you feel more like a cop due to responding to certain emergencies, codes, unruly patients/visitors/staff etc. Another thing to consider is if you want to be armed or unarmed. Armed guards get more money but usually have a lot more responsibility. Licensing is also involved to get the gun. Not really worth it in my opinion. Also find out how long the license is good for and when you have to renew it should you exceed the limit. In summary if you want to get into law enforcement a security job is a good way to start.
