just basic socializing with people. but that can make your life a lot easier (in that venue) since you break the ice early on without hitting on them. nobody (incluing your friends) can call you out on trying some shit on girls. it's good start, girls categorize you as cool social chill guy. and later on when you re-approach you start at 'warm' level cause they had few seconds of pleasant interaction with you before. it's kind of invisible game cause you take time, you don't rush it, you warm up girls more and more to you, you flirt and escalate etc.
in short the whole scene looks like it was spontaneous. like you didn't plan this beforehand. like your interest level increases with time as those girls win you over. so the whole 'seduction' happens more in subcommunication channels (BL / eyes / smiles / touch / tension) rather than in verbal/overt/obvious channels.
this way, nobody can say shit. all they see is some guy exchanging few words with random chicks. and next thing they know the same guy later HAPPENS TO BE with some girls laughing having fun together.
