You're sort of all over the map there. It's a bit difficult to offer advice.
But you're a surfer - you know there are always girls hanging around the beach, hooking up with the surfers. Just stick to your plan and talk to all the girls that are checking you and your friends out. Invite them over to the boat for BBQ, music, drinks and watching surf movies at the end of the day. Surfers have it made, man.
Occasionally you see an older surf groupie chick or hippie. Go for it, if that's what you want.
If you want older women, in most countries they're married with kids by the time they reach their mid-20s. It's not like cities in North America and Western Europe where you have all these unmarried older women prowling in clubs at night.
So you're going to be hitting on married women, women who might not be in the greatest shape, and with a lot of baggage. Maybe some of them will be divorced - so they'll have just as much baggage, only different baggage. Might be better for you to stay at the beach and stick to the younger surf groupies.
IMHO French women age very, very well. I don't know how your chances would be going to France for a week and trying to pick up cougars. You'd probably need to speak some French to keep them interested. Keep in mind if you fly in from Asia you'll be jetlagged for at least the first 2 days.
Or go to a resort in Viet Nam and hit on all the French divorcées there. Let us know how it goes.
