lived in downtown toronto for three years... moved from western canada. the city is literally a hoasis. worked in the financial district. had the downtown apartment 10min cab away to everything.
there's something for everyone in toronto... the hipster douche type chicks to the bay street blonde vodka bar types.
something like 50% of the city is born outside of canada
the rest is made up of first generation canadians like myself
you've got asians, indians, blacks, latinos, mixing together in relative harmony for such a large city.
but there's a deep flaw in torontonians... they hate people who win. they've got this inner canadian humble bull shit. they hate on people who fare successful. they don't like when one of em makes it (drake). they're in love with the 'struggle'. the struggling actor, documentarian, producer who's living in a house on college street with 4 other dudes. it's kind of lame ass.
that's why i got a deep respect for americans. they kick ass. they're proud to say they kick ass. toronto dudes/chicks don't have that swagger.
