I would really like to wear a blazer but every time I do it I look like a professor.

Housing Works in NYC has good 2nd hand stuff. I've seen many stylish people digging for some treasures there.

I've also seen sweet looking blazers that I just can't wear. IMO if you're a size L or like a 42 the world is yours in thrift stores.

I've got all of my name brand blazers from the thrift store. Everytime a lawyer or doctor gets divorced his shit gets sent to the thrift stores by his X[Image: wink.gif] I wear a 42long, which fits me right off the rack. Most of the time, all I've ever had done is have the sleeves taken up or let down. I pick up a big name Tux in my size, never worn witht store tags still on it for $89.00, never paid more than $25.00 for a blazer.

I just picked up a really nice Hugo Boss sport coat at a thrift store. Super 100 wool fabric. Light charcoal mixed with subdued silver sheeny thread.

Looks real fine. It also appears brand new. [Image: banana.gif]

BTW: Although I might be wrong, there seems to be some confusion on this thread between a blazer and a sport coat. Although a blazer is more formal, I think that a quality sport coat is much more sophisticated. I have not owned a blazer since I was age twelve. lol
