Text game - bad close

So I had been up all night working and was walking back to my apartment, it was about 1pm. Big surprise when I get there: I completely forgot the water heater is being replaced, guy says come back in an hour. I ditch, decide to grab some food elsewhere and give the man some room. On the walk there, I run into my wingman and we go get some grub. I get my food first and spot this 6.5 sitting with a fatty and open the set.

I don't stick around for more than four minutes, open with half-german, ramble about traveling and running away from it all, get a little interaction from her (well where would you want to run off to?) name and number close. Lots of eyefucking happening there, my wing said I had good body language but didn't give her much of a chance to talk.

I went back to my friend to eat and they left shortly afterwards. I figure it's a long shot, but why the hell not I'll shoot her a text so after I go home and crash I text her (around midnight), saying "hey [callback humor], what's up? ~storm". I don't expect a response but next day at about three I get one. Short. "hi Storm".

On the one hand it seems smarter to ignore it and just spend my time chasing other girls and not doing an awful job. On the other hand, I see a different opportunity for growth here: I've never turned a one-sided texting conversation around.

What is a good move here?

If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.
