It is interesting to watch the response from the black students posted up after the incident. When a black person 'messes up' so to speak, taking this chick for instance, black people take it personally. Every African American stated that it made blacks look bad. Something I just noticed, and find very interesting, is that as a white person, I dont have the same perspective. Take, for example, Bernie Madoff. This man ruined the lives of hundreds of people. Yet not once did I think he made white people look bad. Maybe it is due to blacks having a more sensitive view of race in the first place? Anyone with any insight on this? I would love to hear any thoughts from fellow black members.
