Carbs don't require much energy to be broken down. Protein and Fat require a HUGE deal of energy from your body to break them down.
You are stimulating your metabolism by going on your low carb diet which does increase body temperature
it is true that fats and proteins are harder to break down.
but what about thermics? protein has the highest TEF of the 3 macronutrients,then carbs,then fats
