It can be hard to tell who is local or not during the carnival but the level of talent there was insane. Seen some ridiculously hot girls.
If you can muster the balls to go chat to them they are very friendly and flirty too. Outside of the carnival a guy would do very well. Even during the carnival we were getting asked to stop and take photos with girls. At one point one of the guys we were traveling with had thirty plus kids swarming him to watch him shoot basketball at the arcade.
I meet a guy who has been down there (who I think is on the forums?) who is a little older. He had a smoking hot 19/20 girlfriend that he got through street approach. Medellin had similar amounts of talent but harder to open and the foreign factor is definitely not as big.
I struck out in both places from over drinking and lack of effort which is what happens when I have been partying non stop for a few weeks. If I had to pick a city right to live Medellin, for girls Barranquilla.
Waking up this morning and just thinking back over my trip I am definitely in love with Colombia as a country. I kind of like that it is a little dangerous which keeps you sharp as a person. I think the food is decent and it is easy to get around along with plenty of things to do. But its the women that have me smitten.
