This is why I think good college friends sometimes are your best friends for life because when you met you all had nothing. No money, no connection, your friendship was built based on sheer compatibility and shared interests. You know that they like you for who you are, not what you have because you have nothing except some noodles boxes. I'm not saying is unconditional (nothing ever is) but I still think it's a lot less opportunistic than the kind of friendships you build later in life. At least thats how some older friends tell me.
