I go to an Ivy League school, and my experiences have mirrored a lot of what Excelsior has said in the past.
I think they'll be a few guys who will use what is being said here as an excuse not to approach. That will only make the problem worse for these guys.
Side note: After college many of those IVY league women move to Washington DC. Hint...hint.
