Women are a liability in combat because even the strongest can be captured and raped. That act sends a message that demoralizes and weakens a military (and a country) far more than when a man is captured and tortured.
While torture can be worse than rape, the very act of rape symbolizes a lot worse things. It says men can't properly defend their own. It says no one is safe.
I don't understand it. On the one hand, feminists are obsessed with keeping women from getting raped in places like colleges. Yet on the other, they're willing to put women in a combat situation, which leaves them open to the worst kind of rape: rape by an enemy.
Beyond that, there is also men's instincts to protect women first and defend themselves second. So women in a combat unit weaken the unit because men's attention to their goal is diverted.
