For me, craning usually occurs during the make-out phase. After 10-15min I'll attempt some boob action. If I get craned there, I go for the neck as an earlier poster mentioned and try again later. After boob contact, I slowly make my way south of the border. If I get craned there, I reach my other hand behind her back and pop the bra off (I usually leave it on while getting the before-mentioned boob action). This usually results in laughter and her trying to put it back on, where I then hold her hands and continue the make-out. Its a solid way to deflect her denial and show that I'm calling the shots. Its generated pretty solid results.
