I wonder why nobody ever thinks of just going back to the 1950s? There was a healthy balance between repression and freedom. People were strong, healthy, and trustworthy. Nobody could touch such a population and Islam was a non player. A man would marry in his early 20s and every man was desirable to women because he had a car and could get her out of the house. It appears that the real culprit is too much success, materiality, and physical comfort. It is really paradoxical. Does success rot the soul? Will we be happier if everything collapses? I have become skeptical of causes trying to improve things. I value peace of mind more.
