If what you said happens, and men merely reject their women en masse, then that's not saving anything. There will insufficient offspring to replace the current members and the resulting population loss will kill the culture.
Not reject women en mass, you can still date them, have kids with a women, but do not under any circumstance marry her. She won't get any material gains from a men. If all men decide to suddenly grow spines and begin to only reward submissive women and not marry them so they can take advantage of the system, then all women will begin to lose weight and become submissive.
