And what exactly would universal healthcare have to do with medical innovations? Why is having universal coverage going to halt medical technology? I don't see what one has to do with the other. So because everyone is covered, Pfizer is going to stop making drugs?
Because the financial incentive to take the risk to test, develop and get new technology approve will diminish.
It will not disappear, but it will certainly slow down. As with most anything once the govt. gets involved.
