I personally think that Scotland will get its "Independence" from the UK in September as Alex Salmond is very much a cult like personality here. He has an almost undying support from (in my opinion) from the majority of the working class Scots as he has basically bribed them with a glorious benefit systems (free medical prescriptions and Methadone which the old folk and junkies love) which is paid for out of the UK tax system.
Scotland is a very Left Wing country and has a real "oppressed" or "wee man" mentality to the rest of the World which plays again into the hand of the SNP as the tactics that this political party uses is very rabble rousing and emotive based.
Bearing in mind that Scotland has a population of 5 Million (with a a high percentage of elderly and disabled/not fit to work) this country will not be able to sustain itself financially as businesses will not come to Scotland as Socialist policies will tax them to high heaven so I think that the only revenue that will come in is from the EU (Which Scotland will join as soon as it leaves the UK)
The only resistance I see from this is from certain neighborhoods in Edinburgh (Where I'm from) and Glasgow, as there is a hell of a lot of "Old money" that still reside in these cities.
My personal opinion is that I really don't want independence as I see it is a very slippery slope towards losing real national identity and being swallowed up the the ever growing monster that is the EU/UN.
