They (her pops and the Beyonce team) tried to roll her out like a pop-star like her sister when she was young ...she bombed, she went into hiding popped out kids and got married, then did more organic and BoHo stuff that she felt like doing. You fast forward to now and she has a good middle ground of having a organic BoHo sound and still being pop enough to market.
