I totally agree. I've banged girls that I met in random cheesy bars in the Margaritaville, Senor Frogs, mold in the afternoon/early evening. These are the only spots outside of pools that I find people that are down. The malls, strip, restaurants, etc are usually a waste of time (although sometimes you can do work at some of the buffets with groups of girls).
Its a party atmosphere, the girls are getting way more shit faced with lots of shots and yardsticks of margaritas and its easier to extract there than a pool party, especially if you're staying in a hotel where the bars are. Granted, it doesn't happen all the time and the crowd is extremely hit or miss, but its not a write off.
I think one's sleeping hours in Vegas should be between 7pm-10pm. You should wake up at 11 or noon from the night before and either go to a pool or these bars. You're here for a limited amount of time, sleep on the plane home or the week after.
