Never apologize. They gain more power, smell blood, and really go in for the kill.
But most importantly, never apologize for exercising First Amendment rights, which is what this bar and DJ did when they played "Blurred Lines."
Had this been a religious/right wing group demanding a ban, the college newspaper would have no sympathy. Beyond that, this is attention whoring. No one is really that affected by a song. And if she is, she's not the "brave woman" they make her out to be, but a spineless controlling coward.
