the underlined stuff, about that. technically, in the US, we have a Hispanic history month (september) but it's not made a big issue because Hispano-hablantes don't give a fuck and never bring up race card unless they are one of those stupid aztlan/brown pride fuckers who think they are 100% amerindian. but for in the US, to truly embrace anything of strong relevancy from Hispanos, it won't happen. From what I have seen, Anglos have a strong secret envy of Hispano-hablantes because the immigrants here in the US refuse to submit to Angloification like the East Asians and Blacks have and we can survive speaking the language of Cervantes in the US without having to speak 100% english. You notice it whenever you hear an Anglo say "This is America, we speak English."

and what point is it to get recognized by Anglos and have our own stupid part of the month? there's no point to it. I celebrate my culture and ethnic heritage everyday when I speak the language of Cervantes daily, I eat the foods from my ethnic homeland (West-Central Mexico), and when I honor the traditions of my heritage that Anglos wish they had (I seriously have had Anglos tell me they wish to have some of the traditions we Hispano-Hablantes have). I don't need a fucking month to have all this. trying to constantly get honored by everybody for your shit shows you don't have much to offer anyway other than annoying everybody else. if you like my ethnic heritage, great. if not, just don't fucking bother me and I won't bother you.
