Squats are known as the king of all exercises for a reason. There is no replacement for squats. Thinking of them as a "leg workout" is underestimating their role.

Sure you could drop them but why? You could stop working out too. Seems to me like OP wants people to give him reasons for not doing squats. Maybe lower the intensity a little and do more reps but don't drop them.

Also who says that girls don't notice? This shouldn't be your focus, but I've had several comments about my legs and ass from regulars since I started hitting the squats and deadlifts.
