I'm not an expert on Roma, all I know of them is the ones I encounter begging across Europe and the illegal camps and slums on the news. I'm not sure if that's the majority of Roma, if it would be equivalent to thinking 99% of black people are gangsters in the ghettos. But see what an Italian accomplishes in a new country after only 5-10 years, and see what Roma accomplish in a country/nation after a hundred years. Mafia is 1% of 1% of Italians, no desire for integration with non-Roma is 99% of Roma. My basic stereotype of them is that they look at non-Romas as hosts to be parasited on with zero conscience for everything they have plus a bag of chips.
