Admissions standards would be considered discriminatory, and would draw comparisons to the Third Reich very quickly. Essentially saying, they only want to take in professionals/college educated (and preferably white), but not realizing that's a minority in the world and the educated typically don't immigrate in waves the way the poorer do.
This is going on in America as well. The only reason certain states are growing in population is because of illegal immigration. They want to claim growth (especially midwestern states) but aren't happy with those moving there.
The reality is, if Illegal Swedes or Irishmen were moving to the US - it wouldn't be nearly as big a deal. This is a bigger deal in Europe simply because they are Roma.
