The problem with SLP, Tampico, Aguas, and other thrid rate mexican cities is that there are not many clubs/establishments/bars. Most activity is settled in one zone (a few streets), with the same people going there most of the time, and the time frame is smaller (fri-sat). As the new white/black/asian/pocho guy around, your face will be recognized quickly.
For me, only the top 3 cities* and touristy beaches** provide enough fun to spend time there. All else is like visiting Midland or Kansas City on a Wednesday night.

EDIT: Soma, PdC included. I meant to say "the cancun area" as a whole.
Any intel/tips on PV? I'm probably going there tomorrow for a day or two.
