I was just at Dairy Queen and there were 2 cute girls - probably freshman at the nearby high school. They were sitting on the hood of their car eating their ice cream. I got mine and sort of stood around for a while (3 minutes) eating my ice cream and looking at my phone, and then I just left.
I wasn't sure how to approach this one. I couldn't think what to say, and they were sitting on the hood of a jeep so they were kind of above my height which made me feel uncomfortable.
What would you have said? Any ideas?
Also, there were many other families and kids around so everyone would have heard whatever I said which made me feel extra uncomfortable.
But additionally, this makes me wonder if DQ could be a decent place to hang out. Young girls like getting ice cream when it is hot. They can't go get a drink at a bar.
