Just wanted to add that downtown floripa is expensive and crappy during the winter..Not worth it as others have said
I could have stayed near some bars in lagoa but I had to be downtown for other reasons. I'm not too jazzed about the idea of paying 30 rs and up to get into clubs with pretty girls.
I like Rio and Porto alegre more.
