II don't consider myself Latino (an invention made by some french king who wanted to justify invading Mexico),

Not to hijack the subject but can you break that down a bit? I get annoyed by the PC surrounding the word "Latino" and how people will be offended if you say "Hispanic" instead.

Latino and Hispanic terms are cultural not racial. For example most people from quebec, argentina or uruguay have their roots in europe and are white, but they also fit the term latino.
Most bolivians, mexicans, peruvians, etc also fit the term latino, but they are not white, they are mostly from native american descent....
got the idea?

correction, most mexicans are of mixed ancestry while peruvians and bolivians are of the majority of cases, of amerindian ancestry.

Correction, mexican and peruvians are the same, a big majority of amerindian 40-50%, a second group of mestizos of amerindian-spanish mix 35-40% and a small ruling european descent group 10-15%. Both were the center of spanish power in latinamerica mexico in the north and Peru in the south...
