Gays are a bunch of attention whores. As long as people (read media) keep paying attention to them then they will keep demanding more attention through ever increasing whining and faux victimisation. The media loves gay stories because they piss of conservatives and Christians (and more importantly distract people from the bankers stealing everything not nailed down, which is what the media owners want) so the media will continue running gay stories.
