Difficult one... maybe I would travel abroad or find a middle road to avoid humiliation in front of friends and family. Hard to imagine celibacy but public humiliations a la megatron wedding proposals mortify me! I even cringe when seeing those kinds of scenes on tv or when a co-worker gets flowers sent to the office. My thought in the latter case is not "Oh how nice" but "What an idiot! $100 for a few roses and all it does is cement your status as chump."
