Most of the night game stuff was written 10-12 years ago. Mystery and company never dealt with convergence of social media and smart phones.
With guys getting dox'ed, forums closing, and other internet things, a lot of the knowledge is lost and has to be reinvented every generation.
The fact that this message board has thousands of messages lets you know that the everything isn't known.
