Also I can promise a major conflict if guns were to become totally illegal. The current secession situation in America would become very real, very fast.

the stickter u make it, the harder it becomes for ur average joe bloggs just to pick up a gun when he has a melt down or gets fired from work in the heat of the moment. thus decreasing massacres. he might throw himself of a bridge or bash his wife but he wont be able to walk into a crowded place and shoot people.
