I know most of the forum members travel a great deal and probably don't have the time nor setting for a garden, but if you do - get on it next year! It's actually quite easy, especially if you get seedlings from a local nursery.
I grew up eating vegetables from a garden, tomatoes unless home grown are bland lifeless pieces of nothingness. I eat them just for the hydration and the possibility of getting SOME nutrition but I couldn't agree more. Once you've had real veggies that other shit is just that. Shit.

Also many of our tomatoes are grown in Florida. The soil and climate there is not conducive to great tomato quality.
