Man Flees Canada, Vows 'Will Never Return'

I'm Canadian and they allow dual citizenship.

I'm not up on the paraguay laws yet, but my recollection is that you don't have to live there full time to count as living there. Someone here must have some better info.

I'm not aware that Paraguay would revoke my passport for owing child support according to the Canadian government. I doubt any country would do that.

What I meant, if your a fugitive to lets say Paraguay's legal system, they would probably revoke your Paraguayan passport. Similarly with Canada and probably other countries. You also have to think about extradition treaties. Common sense stuff, nothing about dual citizenship. Obviously I don't know much about this.

I think the thing about Paraguay is you can fudge things easily, even though the law officially says another thing. Pay officials to backdate passports and other corrupt shit like that. They still legally have that law there to extract more bribes out of you. Most other countries, once you have it it's over and you don't have to maintain it like Paraguay, even if you just have fly in once every three years and not do shady shit.

Singapore is a single citizenship country, Canada wouldn't have a conflict with you having another citizenship, Singapore would.

I talked to an israeli coworker of mine, and he said your military service time amount is reduced the older you are when you immigrate, and they can be lazy about it. He immigrated in his early 20s, and ended up with just a few months of military service obligation and he was living there for 5 years before he actually got to it. He had to get permission to leave the country although (a bunch of paperwork & hassle every time). So if your jewish or don't care about becoming jewish orthodox, your 20+ and don't have much of an income, it might be worth it to get an israeli passport now as an investment in your future.
