I wish we had a definition for "average man" for RVF that seriously should be on the forum. All you really need to do is man up and approach at night, get your looks together and spend maybe $60 a night and you'll be fine. That's in manhattan.

$5-10 cover for say a lounge where the floor plan is good to dance + talk and alternate
3-4 drinks sticking with beer and you're at around $60, 80 is super safe.
So with that said if you can't save up $100 a week to go out... You probably shouldn't be trying to pull in the big apple.
My definition of average man in NYC is $60K a year, living with roomates, out of college, has $400 to blow per month on drinks/whatever.
