The one thing that game has taught me is that I'm a fairly good looking guy. Seriously, as my game has improved over time I have started to notice random positive feedback on my looks and other non-game attributes.
The way I see it is that improving your game is like improving your interview skills for a job. Stuff like your looks, height, intellect, and income could be considered your resume. You can't say one is more important than the other, they are all important. Just like with a job, a girl can screen you out right before you walk in the door. Other times you can be like Will Smith's character in the movie The Pursuit of Happyness and pull something that you had no business pulling based on your "interview" skills.
