Certainly, if you're a successful model and you turn down one TV role then that's it; back to your 17,000 person internet-less village you go.
I've known plenty of average people who hide amongst their close circle of family and friends and share the accolades of how 'handsome! and good looking!' they are.. when in fact they are average and talentless little scaredy cats.
