It isn't that bad. Many people I know absolutely love living in Miami and don't fit the traditional tanned/jacked/shady MFer stereotype. I have only visited for a week at a time, but each time I've had a blast.
Every city has its pros and cons - NYC, Miami, LA, etc. There isn't one city in the world that is a perfect place for everybody. It comes down to what fits YOU best.
I'm happy to take this discussion to the thread you started regarding picking a city, but a question I would ask is: What are your interests outside of women and nightlife? Your life probably isn't only going to revolve around going to clubs and picking up chicks. In South Florida, the main outdoor activity is anything on the water... sailing, jet skiing, etc. If you're not into that at all, it probably isn't worth moving to Miami.
