Being white probably will get you points with the hooker crowds in various second and third world cities. Overall, being white, "American", or European will give you a better rep than a non-white person, all else being equal.
It also makes you stand out like a sore fucking thumb in most places on the planet, and to the inhabitants of many cities, turns you into a giant walking wallet. White people, Christians, and Americans especially are despised in large parts of the Middle East, viewed as walking wallets in South Asia, and probably experience a mix of both in Africa. I lived in various African and Middle Eastern countries (and in India), as a brown guy I was treated dramatically better and stood out much less than my white friends. A lot of whites also get lumped in with Jews who experience prejudice in many places.
