This is a bit of a clusterfuck of social injustice in-fighting. The British Labour party has run a system of all-women-shortlists for selecting people to run for office, with the aim to increase female representation via only allowing women to run for office. As far as I know this is a ploy only used by Anti-Labour And the Illiberal Autocrats.
Under Comrade Corbyn's leadership Labour recently had a foray into the politicisation of transgenders and appointed a biological man (Munroe Bergdorf) who prefers to be a woman as an LGBT adviser. She had recently been dropped as a model by L'Oreal for a history of comments such as saying that white people are the most destructive oppressive force on planet earth. During that storm she was followed by Corbyn on Twitter and shortly afterwards she became directly employed by him. After some of her homophobic tweets were revealed, she decided to step down due to "abuse". She (who appears to be half-cast) also said that suffragettes were white supremacists.
Now Labour has decided that biological men who prefer to be women are eligible to be selected for their all-female-shortlists. This has caused a collective outrage from Anti-Labour feminists who declare all-female-shortlists should only be for biological women. So far they've raised £25,000 for the cause. Will GoFundMe kick these anti-LGBT bigots off their platform like they did with these horrible Christian bakers? This has all the makings of an epic social justice saga.
It's reminiscent of another recent incident where the gay, half-cast editor of The Gay Times was fired for: racism, homophobia, sexism, anti-Semitism, anti-fat bigotry and classism. I'll imagine your shock.
