Youtube is a male centric domain - Youtube tiptoes around the question of how much more men use Youtube, but it is certainly signifcantly more than 60 to 40:

It's not a stereotype - it's just that men use Youtube more and that explains why Lauren Southern got 400.000+ viewers, though her content is well made, she is eloquent and now offers also different additional material like actual reports that journalists used to make.

Men spend a lot of time on that - advocating for Whites and men, saving Western civilization - that will be a 80-90% male interest which explains Lauren Southern high rating.
A Youtuber like Janet Bloomfield who is older, smarter, less attractive and has 3 kids with a husband while being a happy stay-at-home mom - well, she is trad by all metrics, but she is not fap-material. Also her vids are worse made and old-school and she went back to blogging since she got only 7000 followers. Lauren Southern would have gotten that by doing Yoga and being silent.
So yes - the pretty feeder fish do well in the male-dominated "Saving-Western-civilization-theme" of Youtube. The men would not stand a chance at the makeup-tutorial part of Youtube.
Though probably if Roosh hired a modern crew, traveled around a lot, did various impressions and live interviews, then he could reach 200k+ viewers too - though I think that he would shine better with a YoungTurk-like panel and a bunch of guys supporting him in a studio-environment. But that is of course a higher-budget project than what he is doing right now in his bedroom.
Lauren treats Youtube as her main job now, while Roosh has a different focus and interests.
