Not really surprising. Trump's presidency, in a way, is a victory for the original Marxists: the Working Class has had its Consciousness raised. Note that Trump seems to focus mainly on them in his style of presentation and use of language, not the Educated, Middle Class Right.
One group thinks it will win the revolution by radicalizing minority groups into attack dogs to slaughter the status quo.
The other group understands that the strength and resilience of the working classes can easily-negate the first, if they're similarly-radicalized.
I said late last year that we're post-truth, and everything is now functioning as Propaganda for each side, even something as mundane as 'Star Wars'.
Politics doesn't care if you find both sides too extreme. If it's not to your taste, then understand Christ's warning to withdraw from the world.
