When I worked there, you had to be a family member to get AD90. You can’t just put your “gf” or any girl you met on that list and take her for a romantic weekend, which is quite a pity.
For family members you had to show your marriage certificate, or birth certificate in order to link up the names on the accounts.
And no, you can’t have confirmed first class seating on standby. The only way you get on first class on standby is if you knew the station manager personally and he puts you there on as personal favor at time of check in. I knew the managers pretty well and was often upgraded. But this is not something that can be arranged before you arrive at check in counter usually.
