If you take a date to a romantic/romcom type of movie she's pretty much expecting you're gonna makeout during it. The advantage of movie dates is you CAN'T talk. You don't have to come up with something witty to say. The only thing you CAN do is start touching, holding hands, caressing, kissing, etc... She knows this the moment she agrees to see a movie. We're not talking about Avengers or My Dinner with Andre, mind you, a sappy romcom sort of thing. A woman's love-life is already so much of her own imagination lying to herself as it is...the movie does the work for you. She's going to want to project herself as the lead actress and you as the lover.
If you're just looking for the quickest path between point A and B and you have a DTF slut who doesn't appreciate romance, maybe it's a waste of time, but don't write off the power of movie dates or any sort of public makeout scenarios.
