There is too much focus on IQ/genetics, and not enough on culture. Irish culture is getting diluted here, from without and from outside. It's not entirely disconnected with race, but nations have the capacity to absorb foreigners as long as their proportion remains low (not the case in many European countries like Ireland).

Middle easterners from Lebanon and Syria, who have high rates of intermarriage, have thrived in Latin America and are on top of the ethnic food chain in countries like Brazil and Argentina.
