This shouldn't be that surprising, nature always has produced more males at birth due to the fact that we die more often then females ( take more risks, more violent, active, etc), even at a young age and they live longer lives. Through survival of the fittest that ratio usually evens out to about 1:1 by around age 21 or so and by the time women are out of their prime fertility years, 40+ there are typically a surplus of women. Of course the women are not desirable then, but any geriatric guy with viagra should be swimming in pussy.
