What type of reaction was she trying to get from sending this? Did she want him to harm her? Or someone else? Or hate himself until he killed himself? Women aren't stupid when it comes to men, they know what they want from men and they know what makes men tick. I find it hard to believe that she was trying to get a reaction that would result in nothing less than him ruining his life in some way. I can't see an angle where sympathy is warranted.

Quick Edit: If he cheated on her or something (assuming she wasn't somehow abusive in the relationship) then that's a different story and I do sympathize.
