Man gets cancer, is bedridden. Wife moves out, waits for his death to get his wealth.

I don't believe this story.
For one thing:
1. What benefits can she get? disability benefits aren't considered marital property. There is NO lawyer that would take this case because there is no payout.
2. The fact that he is disabled and dying and can't work , while the wife is healthy and able to work would be a negative for her. Again , any lawyer worth his weight would caution her that she could be forced to pay him alimony since he is disabled. Income is used to pay the non working spouse and he clearly couldn't work. That trumps the wife who clearly is just being "picky" with work.
I don't trust the story. The courts don't work this way.
